Soccer: season 2

Logan started soccer season tonight.  It was meet the coach night, so the plan was just to get paperwork, meet  the coaches, and get a jersey.  Logan managed to be on the Black team again, and he was overjoyed by that news!  He was hoping his best buddy would be on his team, but although that didn't work out, he does know a couple of other kids on the team.  New coaches this year, too.  They are both moms, and I'm sure they'll be great with the kids.  They're going to have a big team blanket so when the kids are not on the field, they're going to sit on the blanket (as opposed to all over the place, like last year!). 

Just like last year, it was not a nice evening for being outdoors.  This year was worse though.  It's hard to tell, but it was pouring rain when we left home.  Thankfully, it stopped by the time we got to the field.

Funny story.  Last year, Logan started with the number 1 jersey.  He decided partway through the season that he didn't want to be number 1 anymore, so he hid the jersey.  Then I'm pretty sure he forgot where he'd put it...and well, he ended up with number 17.  I found the jersey months later, covered in white cat hair, under our bed where the cat likes to hide out.  So this year, we're starting with #2...hopefully that'll be our only jersey for the year!
