Coming up on 8 months

The morning started out like this...

And then progressed to this

She stayed there for 30 minutes!!!  Absolutely shocking!  Then, she was happy and cooing with strangers at the doctor's office, fell asleep on the way home, napped for an hour, and then had another 30 minute nap mid-afternoon.  She visited with Nanny & Papa for maybe an hour (?) and didn't so much as whimper!  WOW.  I never thought this would happen for Avery!! 

I don't know whether it's the fact that she's finally taking some solids & cereals and is on a regular feeding schedule (FINALLY), whether it's because she can sit upright on her own, or what.  She is starting to sleep better at night (a big thank you to whomever is in charge of that!), she is starting to nap during the day (she quite often takes 2 short naps (30 minutes or less), and she is starting to be HAPPY!!!  [picture me doing a very big and very goofy happy dance here]
